Privacy

What we collect

• Account: your email address, an optional display name, and a password hash.
• Billing: handled by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, never your card.
• Licensing: for each activated machine, an identifier and a hardware fingerprint computed by the hypervisor, the machine name you see in your dashboard, the time it last checked in, and a one-way hash of its IP address.
• Developer applications: what you tell us in the form.

What we do not collect

Umbra does not send us the contents of your memory, disk, files, or anything you inspect with it. The licence check carries the fields listed above and nothing else.

Why

To run your account, take payment, enforce the machine limit on your licence, prevent abuse, and answer you.

Who else sees it

Stripe (payments) and our email provider. If you hold a key issued by a reseller, that reseller sees the machines activated on it. We do not sell personal data.

Your choices

Ask us for a copy of your data or for its deletion at [email protected]. Cookies are used only to keep you signed in and to protect forms.
